Sacramento police are investigating a shooting late Friday night that left two men wounded and another man dead.
The incident in the 7000 block of Rock Creek Way occurred around 11 p.m., police said, when an unknown male suspect arrived in a vehicle and shot multiple rounds into the home’s partially opened garage door, where the victims were celebrating a family event. The suspect fled immediately after, according to a Sacramento Police Department news release.
Officers arrived at 11:19 p.m. to find two victims inside the residence with non-life threatening gunshot injuries. The third victim, a man in his 30s, was found in the backyard and pronounced dead on scene.
Emergency responders transported the two wounded men to a hospital. The victims’ names are being withheld by police.
No motive has been established, police said. Anyone with information on this crime is urged to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471.
