The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department seeks the public’s help in finding a 70-year-old man reported missing from his board and care facility in south Sacramento County.

Charles Jones (pictured) was last seen leaving his board and care facility on foot about 9 a.m. Tuesday in the 5500 block of Sky Parkway.

Jones is new to the Sacramento area and suffers from dementia and other serious medical conditions that require life-sustaining medications, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.

He is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was wearing light blue jeans, a green hooded sweatshirt and a light blue denim jacket.

Officials said Jones does not have a cell phone and is not known to use public transit.

Anyone with information regarding Jones’ whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115.
