A man wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing earlier this month at a south Sacramento County apartment complex has been arrested in San Diego County.
Dinette Eugene Patterson, 38, was taken into custody on Wednesday. He will be extradited to Sacramento to face murder charges in the March 7 stabbing of Charles Lee Jordan.
When deputies arrived at the housing complex in the 5600 block of Florin Road, people in the parking lot directed them to an apartment where they found Jordan, 42, of Sacramento, with at least one stab wound to his upper torso.
Paramedics arrived and Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene. Patterson was described by the sheriff’s department as an “associate” of Jordan.
The motive for the stabbing is not known.
