A 21-year-old man was shot to death Saturday during an early morning house party in Sacramento, police said.

Sacramento police officers were called at 1:33 a.m. to the 300 block of River Bend Circle after receiving reports that a person had been shot. A party was held in an apartment, according to a department news release.

Police discovered a 21-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, whose name has not been released, died at an area hospital.

Investigators believe the victim had been shot inside the apartment during the party. The other party-goers, and the suspect, fled following the shooting, according to police.

No other injuries were reported. Police said they do not have a motive.

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-4357.
