A man reported missing a week ago from a south Sacramento County assisted living facility has been found.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department reported Tuesday that Charles Jones, 70, who suffers from dementia and other serious medical conditions, was found alive and safe in a medical facility outside the Sacramento area.
Jones was reported missing March 18 after he was seen about 9 a.m. leaving the Sky Park Gardens assisted living facility at 5510 Sky Parkway on foot.
Sheriff’s officials said Jones was new to the Sacramento area, did not have a cell phone and required life-sustaining medications.
