Leonardo da Vinci K-8 school is returning to its normal schedule after Sacramento police officers searched the school following reports of an armed subject on campus.
Police are in the process of lifting the lockdown after a thorough search of the school and reviews of surveillance videos revealed nothing suspicious, said police spokesman Officer Doug Morse.
“Absolutely nothing can corroborate those statements” made by two third graders who reported seeing two suspicious people walk onto campus, Morse said. One of the third graders had reported that one of the suspicious people appeared to be armed.
Police checked individual classrooms, conducting head counts of students and staff as they went.
