The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in two armed robberies that occurred in Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills earlier this month.
Between 1 and 2 p.m. March 15, an unidentified man armed with a handgun entered a convenience store in the 3400 block of Coach Lane in Cameron Park, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release. The man demanded money from the store clerk. When the clerk refused to comply, the suspect left.
The man reportedly drove to another convenience store, in the 4300 block of Town Center Boulevard in El Dorado Hills. Again, armed with a handgun, he entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. This time the suspect left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect, shown in a surveillance photo, is described as a white man, 18 to 25 years old. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a dark jacket over it, black pants, black shoes and a black ski-type mask with two holes cut out revealing blue eyes, and another hole cut out for the mouth area.
Anyone with information regarding the man’s identity or the alleged crimes is asked to call Detective Jonathan Densmore at (530) 642-4718. Information may also be provided anonymously via the Sheriff’s Department’s website.
