Sacramento police were investigating a shooting in north Sacramento this afternoon in which at least one person was hurt.
The male victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital.
Police said that a suspect fled in an older, blue minivan. There was no immediate word on what led to the shooting. As of mid-afternoon, no one had been arrested.
“We have quite a few witnesses,” said Officer Michele Gigante, spokeswoman for the Sacramento Police Department. “We have to verify from people on scene.”
A caller told police about 1:45 p.m. that a person had been shot in the 2900 block of Marysville Boulevard, which includes some some small businesses but is largely residential.
