A 24-year-old man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of assaulting a Sacramento parking control officer.
Sacramento police officers responded to the area of 24th Street and 24th Avenue about 6 p.m. regarding a report that a parking control officer had been assaulted. When they arrived, officers contacted and arrested Jake Thomas. He reportedly was verbally aggressive and threw the parking ticket at the parking agent, then stood in front of the parking agent’s vehicle and wouldn’t let the agent leave, police said.
Thomas was arrested on suspicion of assault, delaying and obstructing an officer and violation of probation.
