Sacramento County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for two intruders who killed a man during a home invasion robbery Tuesday night.
A flurry of calls to the sheriff’s department communications center at about 10:30 reported that a shooting had occurred in the 4900 block of Little Oak Lane.
When deputies arrived to the neighborhood near Madison Avenue and College Oak Drive, they were directed to an apartment where a 30-year-old man had been shot and killed.
Witnesses said that two intruders forced their way into the apartment, confronted the man and shot him. Before leaving, the men took items from the apartment, but a press release from the department did not disclose exactly what was taken.
Detectives are seeking information about the men involved in the killing. Tipsters may leave information with the department at (916) 874-5115. Tip information may be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com.
