Rancho Cordova parents arrested after investigation into toddler's death

Parents of a 15-month-old Rancho Cordova toddler who died last year have been arrested.
The toddler, Kameron Snowden, died June 16, 2013, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s office website.
The death of the child was deemed a homicide by the coroner, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s office. It was found that the youngster had died from an infection due to ongoing physical abuse and neglect, according to a district attorney’s office spokeswoman.
Jeffrey Snowden, 31, was arrested because he was the primary caregiver and was not providing care, according to the district attorney’s office. He was booked into jail on suspicion of homicide and endangering the life of a child.
Tianah Awezi Maji, 35, was arrested for endangering the life of a child.
