Burglars intent on making off with jewelry broke into the Nordstrom department store in the Arden Fair Mall early Friday morning.
Sacramento police are investigating the burglary. A police spokesman said the thieves were targeting the store’s jewelry, and it is believed that the burglars were successful.
Police said that an employee interrupted more than one burglar in the store. Officers were then summoned to the scene of the burglary.
Steve Reed, security chief at the mall, said that outside security cameras captured images of the illegal entry on the north side of the building between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Friday.
“We do have surveillance video of the break in,” said Reed. “We have some people on video.”
