Pedestrian hit and killed by train in Davis

A pedestrian was killed when hit by a passenger train Tuesday morning in Davis.
The pedestrian was hit by Amtrak Capitol Corridor train number 527 traveling westbound, operating between Sacramento and San Jose. An Amtrak spokeswoman said the fatality occurred just after the Davis station about 7:25 a.m.
The coroner responded to the scene. Passengers on train 527 were placed on the next train for passage west.
