The former treasurer of a Rocklin school parent association has been arrested, accused of embezzlement.
Rocklin police received a report April 1, alleging that Frederick Lacker, treasurer of the Rocklin Academy Parent School Partnership Association, had embezzled funds entrusted to him for daily operations of the nonprofit organization, according to a Police Department news release. An investigation followed. Police said Lacker is alleged to have embezzled more than $37,000.
Lacker turned himself in this morning at the Rocklin Police Department and was arrested without incident. Police said he was booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of burglary and embezzlement.
Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the Rocklin Police Department at (916) 625-5400.
