Sacramento police have detained a man for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in South Natomas on Wednesday.
Detectives located and detained the man in Rocklin today and brought him to police headquarters to be interviewed, said police Officer Doug Morse.
He is a “person of interest” in the shooting of a 39-year-old man on Pebblewood Drive shortly after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The victim was brought to a local hospital, where he died later in the day.
Detectives are still investigating the motive behind the shooting and the relationship between the victim and the man being questioned, Morse said.
The victim has not yet been identified, pending notification of his family.
