A man and a woman were arrested on a drug charge after a shot was fired at them by robbers who stole their marijuana, Auburn police said.
Police responded at about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday to a residence in the 800 block of Nott Court where the sound of gunfire had been heard. Officers spoke to Sean Michael Emmons, 23, and Emily Therese Starchild, 22, at the home.
Officers learned that two men from the Sacramento area had come to the home and took marijuana from them. An altercation began, during which a shot was fired at Starchild and Emmons.
The two were not hit by the gunfire and the robbers fled before offices arrived.
During the ensuing investigation, officers found a narcotics manufacturing lab at the home, according to police. Starchild and Emmons were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance.
