The California Highway Patrol is searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision that left a 20-year-old motorcyclist dead Thursday night.
CHP spokeswoman Office Lizz Dutton said the collision occurred about 8:50 p.m. on Roseville Road just south of Outlook Drive in the Antelope area.
The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Roseville Road when a blue vehicle traveling southbound made a left turn from Roseville Road onto Outlook Drive in front of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
The other driver fled in what was described as a blue late 1990s or early 2000 model GMC truck with a camper shell or an SUV.
Investigators were still at the scene late Thursday night.
The CHP is asking the public’s help in locating the driver or vehicle involved in the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP dispatch center at (916) 861-1300.
