An El Dorado County man faces more than 200 years in prison after being found guilty of 12 counts of sex crimes against a child, the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

The jury found David Charles Everett, 25, guilty of sodomy, oral copulation and other lewd acts with a child 10 years old or younger, the district attorney’s office said in a news release. The child’s parents reported the attacks to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department in April 2013. Everett, who has been held without bail since his arrest about a year ago, went on trial May 1. His sentencing is scheduled for June 13.
