An iPad stolen when its owner left the tablet unattended at a Roseville gym has been recovered by tracking it to the suspected thief by using a GPS tracking feature.

Roseville police reported that that around 4 p.m. May 8 a woman left the iPad next to an exercise machine at a fitness center in the 5000 block of Foothills Boulevard for just a few minutes.

During that time, it was stolen. The GPS tracking feature allowed it to be traced to an address in Antelope. There, officers spoke with Pavel Demchuk Jr., 26, eventually arresting him on suspicion of grand theft and possessing stolen property.

The iPad was recovered and returned to its owner.
