Elk Grove police are asking the public’s help in identifying assailants in Thursday night’s armed robbery of a Jimboy’s restaurant.
About 9:43 p.m., surveillance video showed three armed individuals entering the restaurant in the 7300 block of Laguna Boulevard and confronted employees and patrons. Two of the suspects vaulted over the cash register counter and instructed an employee to place money in a plastic bag, according to a Police Department news release. Fearing for his safety, the employee removed an undisclosed amount of currency from the register and gave it to one of the robbers.
A third robber entered the kitchen area and began looking for additional employees, while a fourth robber stood at the entrance and acted as a lookout.
After obtaining the money, all four left and were last seen running from the business.
The first robber was described as a male 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, white athletic socks and slip-on shoes. Police said he was armed with what appeared to be a long-barrel gun.
The second robber was described as a male, also about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt with white piping running from the shoulders down both arms, gray or tan sweat pants or cargo pants with cargo pockets, blue gloves and black basketball shoes. He was armed with what appeared to be a handgun.
The third robber was a female about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. She was wearing a gray ski mask, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored and white pajama pants, and athletic shoes, and was armed with a handgun.
The fourth robber was described as a man about 6 feet tall, wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and dark-colored shoes.
