Redding police are looking for a heavily tattooed man who they say has a history of violence and is dangerous.

At about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning an officer chased a driver in a stolen Ford Expedition to the extreme west end of the Win River Rancheria. The driver, who fled on foot, was identified as John Nicholas Delevati, 29, of Redding.

Police said he is wanted on suspicion of spousal abuse, carjacking and criminal threats. A search failed to find Delevati after he allegedly bailed from the SUV.

He is described as a white man, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a shaved head. He has the “88” tattooed under his right eye, “Famous” near his left eye, SWP on the front of his neck and a large swastika on top of his head.
