Placerville police search for carjacking suspect

Placerville police are looking for a man suspected of being involved in a carjacking this afternoon.

The car was taken about 2:40 p.m. from Stage Coach Alley near Main Street, according to a Police Department advisory.

The suspect is described as white, 30 to 35 years old, wearing a gray tank top and black shorts, with shoulder-length blonde hair. A surveillance photo shows a man matching the suspect’s description in the area about the time of the incident.

The vehicle that was taken was a white 2006 Subaru with California license plate 5XFF047.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or suspect is asked to call 911.
