A man who drowned a week ago in Folsom Lake has been identified by the Placer County Coroner’s Office as 28-year-old Bryan Michael Jubinal of Elk Grove.
Folsom Lake State Recreation Area staff members received a call about 3:20 p.m. June 6 indicating that a man was struggling in the water about 10 yards off shore at the Beals Point day use area.
State Park peace officers, seasonal lifeguards and State Park vessels began a search, assisted by the South Placer Fire District, Placer County Sheriff’s Office and helicopters from various agencies. Seasonal lifeguards found Jubinal’s body about 4:13 p.m.
