Arden Arcade shooting victim identified by coroner; suspect sought

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a shooting early Friday in Arden-Arcade as Kareem Johnson, 34.
Sacramento County sheriff's deputies were called to the 3000 block of Bell Street at approximately 5:30 a.m., where they found Johnson deceased in a parking lot.
An arrest warrant for charges of murder and robbery has been issued for 26-year-old Hishima J. Smalls (pictured), according to Sacramento County homicide detectives. The suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. The Sheriff’s Department said he has strong ties to the Pittsburg and Richmond areas.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and ask anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115.
