What happened in the case of the massage therapist Jeremiah Acevedo? Was he found guilty?

– MP, Sacramento

Jeremy Acevedo, a Sacramento-area masseur, who also goes by the name Jeremiah, was arrested by Sacramento County sheriff’s detectives in August 2013 after an investigation into allegations that he had inappropriately touched female clients during massages.

At least two victims were initially identified by investigators, according to a story in The Bee. Sheriff’s officials said Acevedo began working in the Sacramento area in early 2013 and primarily worked in the north area.

Sacramento County Superior Court online records show that Acevedo pleaded no contest in February to three misdemeanor counts of sexual battery and a felony count of penetration with a foreign object.

He was sentenced to time in Sacramento County Jail. According to online inmate information, his projected release date is March 5, 2015.
