A woman’s body was pulled from the Sacramento River this afternoon and could be that of a woman who went missing Tuesday night, according to authorities.
Shortly after 2 p.m., a witness reported seeing a body in the Sacramento River, north of the I Street bridge, said police Officer Doug Morse.
The body was determined to be that of a black female adult, Morse said.
Authorities won’t know whether it is the body of Mary Norman, 27, until the Sacramento County Coroner’s office identifies the woman.
But the body recovered today matches descriptions of Norman offered by witnesses who said they saw her enter the river Tuesday night, Morse said.
Police don’t suspect foul play.
