South Lake Tahoe police seek to find a 28-year-old woman who has been missing from her residence for two weeks.
Ruth Anne Scudder is considered at-risk because she has a mild mental handicap, according Police Department news release. Her family reported that Scudder voluntarily left the South Lake Tahoe residence she shares with them June 4, and they have not seen her since.
Scudder does not drive and, although she has a history of voluntarily leaving home unannounced, she has always returned within a few days. Her family has grown increasingly concerned due to her extended absence, police said.
Scudder is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She has blond hair and green eyes.
She has no financial resources with her, and her circle of friends is unknown to her family. Police said no crime is suspected at this time, but they are asking the community’s help in finding Scudder.
Anyone with information regarding Scudder’s whereabouts is asked to call the South Lake Tahoe Police Department dispatch at (530) 542-6100.
