A man was stabbed to death shortly after midnight Saturday in Rancho Cordova, authorities said.
Rancho Cordova police officers were called out to the 10500 block of Peter A McCuen Boulevard, where they found several people attempting to administer medical aid to a 20-year-old male stabbing victim. Medics from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department later pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Detectives believe the victim and suspect, Fabian Pozos, knew each other, and the encounter escalated when an argument turned violent.
Pozos, 22, was arrested and booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on suspicion of murder. The victim’s identity was withheld by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, pending notification of family members.
