Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in a south Sacramento business Friday morning.
Sacramento Police responded to calls shortly before 9 a.m. reporting gunshots and a woman injured in the business near the corner of Fruitridge Road and 28th Street, police said.
Police have made no arrests in relation to the incident, but a man seen in the area is a person of interest, police said.
Detectives have not determined a motive, according to a press release.
“We’d like to talk to anyone who has heard or seen anything,” said Sacramento Police Officer Doug Morse.
A gun was possibly used, police said, and detectives are looking at the security systems of surrounding businesses in hopes of gathering more information on the woman’s death.
