A Roseville woman was knocked out by a burglar who entered her home late Monday.
About 11:30 p.m. officers were called to an apartment in the 300 block of Cirby Way where a resident, who had left a sliding door partially open for pets, interrupted a stranger in her living room going through her purse.
Then, she heard a second man say something before being struck on the head and rendered unconscious. When police arrived, they were unable to find either the man she saw rifling her purse or the person who hit her on the head.
The woman was taken to a hospital, treated and released.
The day after, another burglary occurred not far away on the other side of Interstate 80. Between 12:30 and 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, somebody entered a home on Marie Court by kicking in a rear French door.
The burglar took cash, jewelry, electronics and other items. A police newsletter did not say if there is a connection between the two break-ins.
