Roseville police are investigating the death of a man who died from injuries suffered Thursday night when he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing Harding Boulevard.

Fire personnel and officers were called about 10:30 p.m. Thursday to the 200 block of Harding Boulevard where Robert Justin Skipper, 28, of Oroville, had been hit while crossing the street.

Roseville police said he had tried to cross the street at mid-block when he was hit by a pickup being driven northbound on Harding Boulevard by a Sacramento man.

The 48-year-old driver stopped to speak with police officers after the crash. Skipper was taken by ambulance to a Roseville hospital where he later was pronounced dead.
