Three Sacramento men are in jail, accused of breaking into cash registers at a Galt Walmart store during business hours.
Galt police officers were dispatched to the store at 10470 Twin Cities Road at 3:58 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, Walmart loss prevention officers reported that three suspects were attempting to leave the business through the garden center on the west side of the store.
Police pursued the suspects on foot and took three men into custody at the Raley’s shopping center, west of Walmart. They were identified as Alvin Cox, 51, Almouriera Cox, 33, and Kenneth Cox, 29.
Police said an undisclosed amount of money taken from Walmart was found in the Raley’s parking lot, where it allegedly had been hidden by one of the suspects.
All three men were booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of burglary.
