A Sacramento County jury has convicted a man and woman of charges related to large-scale marijuana growing operations.

Minghai Ye and Qingning Xiao were found guilty Wednesday of possessing marijuana for sale and power theft.

The two participated in a large-scale marijuana grow operation, growing more than 800 marijuana plants at their Sacramento-area home, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release. Each possessed a doctor’s recommendation to grow 99 marijuana plants and possess up to 16 pounds of processed marijuana.

Ye and Xiao are to be sentenced Aug. 12 before Sacramento Superior Court Judge Allen Sumner.
