Police search for suspect in June hit and run

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking help to find the suspect in a June 15 hit-and-run of a bicyclist.
The incident happened around 4 a.m. on 24th Street, south of 53rd Avenue, according the Sacramento Police Department. Police found the bicyclist, a woman in her 40s, with extensive injuries. Police believe the suspect was in a dark-colored 1996-to-2001 model year Ford Explorer or a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer with damage to the headlight and possibly to the hood.
Police ask anyone with information to call the Major Collision Investigation Unit at (916) 808-6032, dispatch at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-4357, or to send a text to 274637. Those providing information can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
