Woodland police announced the arrest of a suspect in a series of robberies that have occurred in the city since July 7.
Salvador Jimenez, 47, of Woodland was arrested about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday after he was found in the parking lot of 54 West Court St., according to a Police Department news release.
He is a suspect in six robberies that occurred between July 7 and Saturday. Targets included a yogurt shop, beauty supply store, dry cleaners and fast-food restaurants. One incident was reported at 8:30 a.m., but police said most of the robberies occurred between 3 and 6 p.m. and were committed by a man who appeared to be working alone.
Police said Jimenez would be booked into the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of robbery.
