Police seek witnesses to crash in Sacramento’s Greenhaven area

Sacramento police are seeking witnesses to a July 23 crash in the Greenhaven area in which a woman and small child were injured.
Officers responded about 4:20 p.m. to the 6800 block of Riverside Boulevard regarding a report that a vehicle had left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The driver, a woman, was hospitalized with serious injuries. A small child, who was in a car seat, sustained minor injuries and also was transported to a hospital.
Police are trying to determine whether there were witnesses to the crash. A gray SUV, possibly a GMC, was reported traveling south on Riverside Boulevard at the time of the crash, according to a Police Department news release.
