A swimmer was hoisted by helicopter from Angora Lake Thursday evening after she was injured jumping from a boulder.
The 20-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman was swimming with friends when she jumped. She suffered injuries to her chest and pelvis, according to a press release from the California Highway Patrol.
She was lifted by helicopter because of the remote location and the severity of her injuries.
The woman was transported to the South Lake Tahoe Airport and then transported by ambulance to Barton Hospital for treatment.
