An American River College counselor and instructor who was reported missing last week has been found and is safe outside the Sacramento area, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
Michael Sachau, 43, had been reported missing from his home in the 800 block of Fulton Avenue. He had last been heard from July 29, when he called in sick to his place of employment. Checks by law enforcement officers and acquaintances at his residence and places familiar to him failed to find Sachau.
Sheriff’s officials said he was considered at-risk because his absence was inconsistent with his normal pattern of behavior.
