UPDATE: Injuries to bicyclist struck by light rail train not life threatening

Sacramento police report that a bicyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a light rail train in south Sacramento at about noon Thursday.
The collision occurred where the light rail tracks cross the 2800 block of 47th Avenue, just south of the 47th Avenue station.
A Regional Transit spokeswoman said the male bicyclist was transported to the hospital.
Police said no train passengers were injured.
