Sacramento police took a man into custody who they say discharged a weapon outside a home at Tenth and U streets in the Southside Park neighborhood.

Streets in the area were initially closed off as officers worked to get three people out of the residence. Eventually, all three were detained.

One of them, a man, is suspected of discharging a weapon either into the ground or the air around 7:30 a.m. Friday. He was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered, according to police.

It was not clear what charges the man might face for discharging the weapon. The other two people were not taken into custody.
