UPDATE: All lanes reopen on northbound I-5 near Arena Boulevard, traffic still slow

All lanes of northbound I-5 near Arena Boulevard in Sacramento have been reopened after a closure due an overturned big rig.
Although all lanes were reported open about 5:30 p.m., motorists reported traffic was still backed up to Highway 50. Congestion was expected is expected to ease as equipment is removed from the side of the freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol website, the crash occurred about 1:30 p.m. The big rig reportedly lost a load of pipes, resulting in pipes rolling over the roadway. During the closure, motorists were diverted off the freeway at Arena Boulevard and back onto I-5 at Del Paso Road.
