A 30-year-old man was arrested by Sacramento police Friday morning at an apartment in 2100 block of 10th Street after he allegedly fired a handgun.
Police responded at 7:23 a.m. regarding a report that someone had fired a handgun. Witnesses assisted officers in finding the suspect’s apartment and police set up a perimeter.
Three men, including the man suspected of firing the gun, were detained after calls were made into the apartment. Two were determined to be roommates of the suspect and were eventually released, according to a Police Department news release.
The suspect, identified as Christopher Harvey, was booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of reckless discharge of a firearm, as well as false imprisonment and kidnapping. Harvey is accused of pulling one of his roommates back into the residence when officers were attempting to make contact with him.
No injuries were reported.
Police said the firearm believed to have been used in the incident was recovered in the area.
