Man pulled from water at Gilligan’s Island

Sacramento firefighters pulled a man out of the American River in the Gilligan’s Island area Saturday evening and took him to a local hospital.

Assistant Chief Maurice Johnson of the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said the man had been in the water for 10 to 15 minutes before the rescue that took place around 7:15 p.m.

Johnson did not have any information on the man’s condition.
