The Colusa County Coroner’s Office has released the names of the four people who died Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Colusa.
Sheriff’s Lt. Neil Pearson said the two men and two women were all from Yuba City. The men were identified as Darbara Singh, 63, and Joginder Ram, 63. One woman was identified as Balbir Kaur, 52. The other woman, age 63, was identified by a single name, Siso, on her passport, Pearson said.
A fifth passenger, a woman identified as 65-year-old Suman Bala of Yuba City, survived the crash and was transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at 3:07 p.m. on eastbound Highway 20 about a mile and a half south of Niagara Avenue, south of the city of Colusa, officials said. They said the 2001 Honda Accord tumbled down an embankment, overturned and came to rest upside down in a canal.
