A man was injured when he reportedly walked into the side of a light-rail train in downtown Sacramento late Wednesday afternoon.
Sacramento Regional Transit spokeswoman Alane Masui said the incident occurred about 5:20 p.m. as a train on RT’s Green Line was traveling north on Eighth Street at K Street. The man walked into the side of the single-car train, Masui said.
Sacramento police reported that the man, in his 60s, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Masui said RT was providing bus service for light-rail passengers from the Eighth and K and Seventh and K street stops to the Amtrak station.
