Shooting leaves one dead in El Dorado County

One man is dead and another person has been taken into custody after a shooting late Wednesday night in El Dorado County.
Neither the dead man nor the person taken into custody have been identified.
El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to an argument in the 5000 block of Bucks Bar Road southeast of Placerville about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. The call was upgraded to assault with a deadly weapon with shots fired.
When deputies arrived they found an unconscious man with a gunshot wound, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. He was transported to Marshall Hospital in Placerville where he was later pronounced dead.
A person was taken into custody and also transported to the hospital for medical reasons. No other information was available from the sheriff’s office.
