A late food run ended up badly for a Roseville motorist who police say was reported to have fallen asleep in a Taco Bell drive-thru.
When Roseville police received the call about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, it was reported that a woman had fallen asleep at the wheel at the Taco Bell, 5002 Foothills Blvd. The reporting party suspected intoxication.
When officers arrived, Mary Michelle Stewart, 48, had already placed her order and had pulled to the side of the building to wait for her food. No longer in the drive-thru, officers still decided to speak with her.
Inside her purse, officers said, they found prescription narcotic pain pills that were not in a prescription bottle and a loaded handgun. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, illegal possession of prescription narcotics and possession of a concealed, loaded handgun, according to a police report.
