A Davis police officer suffered a minor injury while riding his motorcycle on patrol Monday morning, authorities said.
Two motorcycle officers were traveling west on County Road 32B in the area of County Road 105D at 9:44 a.m. when one of the officers, Sgt. Rod Rifredi, drifted to the right and hit his partner, according to Lt. Ton Phan, spokesman for the Davis Police Department.
“They were looking for a stolen vehicle,” Phan said. “As he was looking to the left, he drifted to the right and clipped the other bike.”
Rifredi’s leg was injured, and he was transported to UC Davis Medical Center by ambulance, according to Phan. The second officer was not injured.
