Body found near airport identified as Sacramento man
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man whose body was discovered in a field near Sacramento International Airport last week.
The body of Matthew Caquelin, 26, of Sacramento was noticed about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday by a work crew driving by the field near West Elverta Road, east of Metro Air Parkway.
Caquelin had suffered gunshot wounds to the torso.
A Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said last week that it unclear whether the man had been shot in the field or if his body was brought there.
