Sacramento Police responded to a report of a suspicious package Saturday evening in the 1300 block of Florin Road that turned out to be a harmless box, said Traci Trapani, police spokeswoman.
A caller alerted police at 5:35 p.m. about at the package at a shopping center anchored by a Bel Air supermarket.
Workers at the shopping center were evacuated. A bomb squad arrived on scene at 7:30 p.m.
After investigating the box and confirming it was harmless, police removed the perimeter at the shopping center.
